Midnight Thanks to Georgia

A is For is committed to supporting small and independent abortion clinics across the United States. Over the years, with your help, we’ve given tens of thousands of dollars to clinics and the funds that support them. These are the clinics that are on the front lines, constantly threatened by legislative restrictions and threats of violence, operating without the benefit of a more visible national affiliation. These are the clinics that serve communities that are often ignored.

With the future in doubt, with the Senate still under right wing extremist control, and with a Supreme Court outfitted with GOP hand-picked ideologues, independent clinics across the country are going to remain particularly vulnerable.

With this in mind, and with your help, early this morning A is For was able to send a modest donation to the Feminist Women’s Health Center in Atlanta. They are a non-profit clinic offering critical care, including but not limited to abortion care, to the people of Georgia. We are grateful to be able to give this gift directly to a clinic that needs immediate help, with our thanks.

Right now, the state of Georgia is in the midst of a very real and very close battle between those who would maintain the status quo of subpar health care and shrinking access to abortion, and those who are fighting to bring their state into the modern age.

The people of Georgia, with the hard work of leaders like Stacey Abrams, are showing they want to end their state government’s outdated fixation on restricting access to comprehensive, safe, and quality healthcare for all. We want to listen to these leaders, and support them in their fight.

We are grateful for the diverse, unified family of Georgians who have been working so tirelessly to make a new, brighter, more equal future for their beautiful state.

Thank you for making this gift possible, and for helping A is For in our mission to support the work of independent abortion clinics.
